Application Process

• Confirm the location: Confirm the nearest Chinese Visa Application Service Centre and check its office hours and submission arrangements.
• Prepare the documents: Prepare your passport, photos and supporting documents according to your visa type.
• Complete the online form: Fill in all fields as instructed and review your personal information and application details.
• Submit in person: Visit the centre to submit your documents and have your information collected, following the arrangements applied by that centre.

Processing Time:

Processing time varies from case to case. Be sure to plan your visa application in advance. After all application requirements are met, the processing time as per Chinese Embassy is 4 working days or more.

Visa Fee:

Diplomatic and Official passport holders of the third countries as well as Pakistani ordinary passport holders are exempted from Embassy visa fees.

Common Documents

• Passport valid for more than 6 months with at least one blank visa page.
• Copy of the passport personal information page.
• Printout of Visa Application Form of P.R. China submitted online, including confirmation page and a digital ID photo.
• Copy of the front and back of Pakistan National ID card for Pakistani citizens.
• Copy of evidence of legal stay or residence in Pakistan for a third-country nationals, such as visa, Pakistan Origin Card, etc.
• Original Chinese passport and a copy of the passport personal information page for the person who was previously a Chinese national and applies Chinese visa for the first time after naturalization of another country.
• If the applicant’s name is changed and differs from that in a new passport, please provide an official certificate of the name change, which must be apostille by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan.
• VALID Police Character Certificate (Updated): The applicant(s) aged 10 or above must submit the police character/clearance certificate covering the period from since birth to till date; the applicant(s) under the age of 10 are not required to submit. If there is no QR code on the PCC , the PCC must be apostilled by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan.

Characterized Documents: Invitation Letter for Tourist Group issued by the duly authorized tourism office in China, usually the local relevant Culture and Tourism Bureau upon the request by the local travel agency in China.
